We are proud to unveil the new Vinyl Revolution store.
The ‘bus d’amour’ (as we like to call it) is our dream come true, a retail paradise on wheels for one lucky customer at a time. Although it’s slightly smaller than we would have ideally liked, Vinyl Revolution will still be selling coasters, t-shirts in sizes XS and S, babygros and the occasional 7” single. Customers will be invited to queue outside the van (especially on Record Store Day) where they will be given a ticket and a Cadbury’s Freddo and then told to wait patiently for their turn. Despite the snug feel you can be sure of our undivided attention as you root about in the back of the van. Customers are advised we now only take cash, small notes wherever possible. And we can no longer offer changing room facilities at this time. But we can promise to look the other way when necessary.
Locations for the new shop are still in the pipeline, but we launch the tour with a fleeting appearance at Watford Gap services on the morning of Saturday 17th April (between 7.30-8am). Following this we will then be on the forecourt at Beaconsfield services on the M40 (Junction 2) on Monday 5th July, weather and Covid permitting. We are pleased to say we will still be adhering to our strict green policy by turning off the ignition and coasting in a downhill direction wherever possible.
Rachel, Treacle and I look forward to seeing you again very soon…
Simon (Vinyl Revolution founder and designated driver)
